What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you hold over it under Philippine law.
ARTE DEALS operates a vehicle marketplace serving the Philippines. This policy explains how we handle personal information and applies to everyone who uses the site, whether or not they hold an account.
For the purposes of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), ARTE DEALS acts as the Personal Information Controller for the data described here. We operate from Metro Manila, Philippines.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
We collect only what the marketplace needs to function.

Our service providers may also record technical information such as IP addresses and browser type as part of delivering the site securely.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Because ARTE DEALS is a public marketplace, some information is visible to anyone, including visitors without an account.

Consider carefully what you place in a listing or a photograph. Number plates, house frontages, and documents visible in images become public once posted.
We use established providers to run the site. Each processes only what its function requires, and each is bound by its own privacy commitments.

We do not authorise any provider to use your information for their own marketing.
Our database is hosted in Singapore. Images, email delivery, and website hosting may involve servers in other countries operated by the providers listed above.
Where personal information is transferred outside the Philippines, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with the Data Privacy Act, including relying on providers that publish their own data protection commitments.
Subscription payments are made through GCash, outside our systems. We do not operate a payment gateway and never receive your GCash credentials.
What we receive is the reference number you submit, which we match against payments received in order to activate your subscription. We retain these references as proof of payment.
When posting, sellers choose a place name from a search list. The chosen area and its approximate coordinates are stored with the listing and shown publicly, so buyers can filter by location.
If a buyer sorts by distance, their browser asks permission and the calculation happens on their own device. Their position is not transmitted to us and is not stored. Declining the request simply returns the listings in their normal order.
Messages are stored so both participants retain their conversation. They are private between those two people.
Administrators may access messages where necessary to investigate a report, a suspected breach of our terms, or a suspected fraud, and where we are required to do so by law or lawful request. We do not read messages routinely.
Do not send passwords, verification codes, GCash PINs, card details, or photographs of identity documents through the Platform. No one from ARTE DEALS will ever ask for them.

Some information may be retained where the law requires it or where we need it to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud — for example, payment records and reports made against the account. Messages you sent may remain visible to the person who received them, as those records also belong to them.
We apply organisational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data:
No system is entirely secure. Use a password unique to this site, and never share a verification code with anyone.
If a breach occurs that is likely to give rise to a real risk of serious harm, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the affected users within the period required by law, describing what happened, what information was involved, and what steps to take.
We store a sign-in token in your browser so you remain signed in between visits. It is essential to the site working and is not used for advertising or tracking.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or analytics profiling. Clearing your browser data will sign you out.
ARTE DEALS is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it and delete the associated information.
We may update this policy as the site develops or the law changes. The effective date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on the Platform, and continued use afterwards indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
